Talaal has been representing insurers and their insureds in a wide range of matters since his call to the Ontario Bar in 2001. He has appeared at all levels of court in Ontario in addition to public and private tribunals. He is currently the Immediate Past-President of Canadian Defence Lawyers and is an elected member of the Federation of Defence and Corporate Counsel and International Association of Defence Counsel. He is also a member of Forum of Insurance Lawyers (UK and Ireland) and Defence Research Institute. He was awarded an Exceptional Performance Citation for supporting and improving the standards of the defence bar and the administration of justice.
